BOWLING.

Four teams from the Victoria Bowling’Olub, Wellington, journeyed to Feliding yesterday to play a friendly game against four local teams. Unfortunately, two of Feildlog’s best teams were away in Wanganui putting in a claim for the Keeslog Oup, As a result the visitors had things all their own way. Two matches were played, and the following arephe scores, Feilding players being mentioned first in each instance:—

Grabbe skip, Feilding v. Sneddon skip, Victoria : 15—20 and 17—21. Bartholomew skip v. Scott skip: 18—27 and 19—29.

Thompson skip v. Hueston skip 17—15 and 20—39.

Johnston skip v. Mayer skip: 15— 20 and 14—33. A Marton representative rink competed at the Bowling Tournament at Palmerston yesterday and secured one win out of three games. In the pairs Sntoliffe and Ward had fonr wins and two losses, securing equal points with Sir E. O. Gibbes and Jeffery, "veteran bowlers, and two Palmerston teams. Bell and Duck (Marton) bad three wins and three losses. Play will be resumed today.
