BULLS SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
At the monthly meeting last evening there were present: Messrs T. King (Chairman), E. Biake, R. R. Hntcbeson, W. McNlckle, Q. W. Smith and J. E. Walker. The headmaster's report for ststruary showed uambar on roll 148, average attendance 133 Correspondence- was received : From M. E, H. Levett, offering to soppply a memorial tree at school gate to replace one that had perished. —Mr Levett was thanked for his offer. From Inspector-General of Schools, covering Inspector’s report on secondary departments of High School, which was satisfactory and complimentary to the staff. From" Wanganui and West Coast School Committees’ Association, Intimating that a meeting of delegates will be heid in Wanganui on. .March 17tb, and asking that Bails’ Committee be represented.—On the motion of Mr Walker seconded by Mr Smith, it was decided to ask Mr Brace, of Wanganui, tn act as delegate. From Education Board, stating that a New Zealand Ensign can he obtained for the school if flagstaff has been erected, i Resolved that Ensign be applied for. From Education Board, suggesting establishment of a First Aid Pond to supply necessary material in oase of minor accidents.— Received. From Education Board, intimating that owing to maintenance grapts having been reduced by one-third rigid economy will have to be exorcised during current year; also that the grant of 9d per pupil .made to School several ,years past has been withdrawn. Accounts amounting to £3l 17a 6d were passed for payment. Messrs Hutcheson and King were appointed Yisiting Committee for ensuing month.
