DAIRY FACTORIES AWARD.

MEETING OF BMLPOYERS. MM3UU A meeting of delegate from dairy companies was held at Palmerston yesterday, there being representatives from Wairarapa, Forty-mile Bash, Norsewood, Dannevirke and Manawatu present, over thirty factories being accounted for. Mr A. McFarlane, chairman of the National Dairy Association, was voted to the chair. ' The business of the meeting was to„ consider the demands of the Dairy Union of Workers. These have been published in our own and other papers, but they have not been forwarded to the employers or brought before the Arbitration Court officials. The present award made in August last, expires with this month, and in order to be prepared for whatever situation may rise a committee was set| up to.take any steps it deemed necessary, such committee consisting of Messrs MoFariane, Fisher, Whitaker, Bendall, Beattie, Wise and Fred Nathan,— Times.
