NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW.
THE MILKING MACHINE COMPETITION. A meeting of the National DairyShow Committee was held yesterday afternoon. Present Major Dank (chairman), and Messrs MoOrae, BalsllUe, Batohelar, Harkness, Lancaster, McKenzie, Mcßae. JQibbons, Hodder, Johnston and Sutherland. The North Island Poultry Association wrote that a permit would be issued for the poultry section of the show in June next.
The Minister for Agrioultnre [intimaHd that an expert from £tbe department wonld be at fehe services of the Association to judge the fruit, at which much rsatisfaction was expressed. ■lt was deoided to issue season tiofcets, entitling the holder to eight admissions for se. After some discussion it was resolved to hold the usual smoke concert, and a subcommittee was appointed to make all arrangements. The report of the appointed some time ago to go into the question of holding a combined demonstration of milking machines at the Dairy Show was adopted. This recommended that such a demonstration be held and tbe oominittee was authorised to prooeed with the arrangements.—Times.
