A tragedy occuned at North Brighton. William Holmes, bis wife and two children (aged respectively four years and two months) were found dead in bed. Holmes’ throat was cut and the others had their heads battered in. The man had used a oiaw hammer to kill the family and then committed suicide. ? Holmes had been unable to obtain work and was despondent. It is supposed he committed the crime in a sudden fit of mania. THE EASTERN QUESTION.
