The Chronicle stat'es on what it regards as good authority, that there is every prospect of a strike of coal miners on a large scale taking place in the near future. Its informant states that there has for some time past been considerable unrest among the miners on the West Coast, theta number of agitators are busily at work, ana that everything is practically in readiness fot the “call.” Per Press Association. It was pointed out to a Post reporter that oven if the rumour had any foundation in fact the present time was a most inopportune one for a strike from the miners point of view, as there must he fully 400 men out of work at Millertoa. The Minister of Mines states that as far as he knows good relations exist at the mines.
