I '.(Prom Our Own Correspondent.) 1 Township sections are booming. Owners are holding on and prices are advancing "rapidly. Last week a resident bought a quarter [acre section for £3O and a few days after sold it- for £80.; Preparations are being made for the new public hall. A number of willing workers were stumping and logging up on Monday. On Wednesday the work will bo continued. The committee of the .Horticultural Society met last Monday evening to receive .statement of accounts for the recent show. Over £57 was taken in entry fees, door money, etc. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the judges, stewards and committee for service rendered, and a bonus of £5 5a voted to the secretary. On tho motion of Mr “J. Matthews, seconded by Mr F. Pawsou, it was decided to hold the next annual show during the first fortnight in April. At tho Literary Society the other evening “Should Women Vote?" was debated. Mr L J. McKenzie and Miss Boss spoke 'for the negative, and Mr F. S. Guy and Miss Gregory supported the affirmative. By 14 to 10 tho latter wore declared tho victors.
