Feilding Market Report.
Messrs A. H. Atkinson and Co. report :—About 100 pigs were yarded on Friday. The entry consisted mostly of weaners and light stores. Weaners were easier but for all other classes there was spirited competition. There was a fair entry of horses, the bulk of 'which changed hands. A small entry of poultry sold well. Produce came to hand |;in usual quantities. Potatoes are inclined to harden, prime lots selling up to 12s per sack. Other produce sold well at-late rates. Quotations. —Horses : Aged half draughts £lO to £IG 10s, hacks and light harness horses £7 to £9, aged do. to £4 10s. Pigs: Good weaners 0s Cd to 10s 3d, medium 7s to 8s 3d, slips lis to lis !)d, small stores lis 9d to ' 15s, medium stores Kis 9d to 17s Od, light porkers 22s (id, breeding sow ; 40s to 425. Poultry : Cockerels 3s (id to 4s, hens 3s 4d to 3s Bd, inferior sorts 2s Cd, ducks 4s 4d, all at per pair. Produce : Potatoes prime 10s Od to 12s per sack, inferior fis to Bs, blighted 2s to 3s, onions prime 9s (id to 10s cwfc, chaff inferior Is 4d sack, apples cookers lj£d, eating lj£d to l><d per lb, pears l%d per lb, factory bacon sides 7>'d, hams 8d per lb.
