A countryman, pas-sing through town, was attracted by a notice in n shop window, which read: "Good Habits for Sale!" After studying it fcr some time, he wt n* inside. "Well, sir." said the assistant. "wba* can I do for you?" "I want to get a pood habit. plea.-e." said the countryman. "What kind would you I'ke, sir?" psked the assistant. "The one or setting up early in the morning." replied the countryr>nn. The assistant looked astonished: then, seeing the joke, wrote on a slip of paper: "Please give I,enter some eelf-rais ; ng flour." and K c directed him to the grocery .'■hop next door.
