TRUST HOTEL

TOKOROA APPLICATION Matamata County Council Move In pursuance of the request of the Tokorda Progress League for a trust hotel for that district, the Matamata County Council decided on Thursday, after a brief discussion and a perusal of the regulations to the Licensing Trusts Act which were recently gazetted, to act on behalf of the former body. Accordingly, the council decided to apply to the Licensing Control Commission, which allocated an hotel license to Tokoroa, for the declaration ,of a trust district in that area. The council also decided to apply to the Fiako Licensing Committee for the license to be granted for a trust hotel. The above applications are similar to those made by the Matamata Borough Council for the Matamata district, except that for Matamata the Licensing Control Commission approved two licenses.
