* TOKOROA CLUB The Tokoroa club continued its activities throughout the holiday period with interest and competition maintaining their keenness. Members were honoured and pleased to entertain as guests of the club two star performers in the athletic sphere, Colleen Mallone and Doug Harris, both of Auckland, during the Christmas and New Year pier-, iod. Miss Mallone has put up some remarkable performances this season, winning the women’s 75 and 220 yards titles, as well as second place in the 100 yards, at the Auckland championships. Both she and Harris are Empire games competitors. Miss Mallone visited Tokaroa en route for Napier where she represented the Auckland centre the New Zealand championships? and Harris’ 'Visit was made when returning from Napier. Most appreciated feature of Harris’ visit was the brief coaching and instruction he gave a number of the club’s younger members. ja Results from three meetings were > as follows: Seniors—loo yards: D.
