CAR OVERTURNS

MINOR INJURIES TO DRIVER A car driven by Gordon Lawfence Chaney, Whitianga, travelling towards Putaruru, left the road and overturned several times, when it failed to negotiate an easy curve in the Taupo Road below Tuck and Watkins’ mill on Sunday night.. The car was badly damaged, the driver, who was the sole occupant, receiving minor injuries. Chaney told the police that the steering jammed as he hounded the bend.
