The New Zealand Society of Accountants has appointed Mr. W. H. Somerville, Putaruru, an associate public accountantA reply to the board’s recommendation that the rate of interest on overdraft charged,,to all Ideal authorities by the Bank of New Zealand be fixed at a special reduced rate was received from the Minister of Finance, Mr. Nash, at a meeting of the Waikato Hospital Board. The Minister said he would arrange for every consideration to be given when circumstances warranted, but he regretted it would not be possible for rates to be reduced at present. The only comment came from one member, who said: ■“Good old Walter.”
