In a recent report on- a fishing without a license prosecution heard at the Putaruru Court it was stated chat defendant was J. Dobson. This was incorrect. G. V. Perrin was the defendant in the case.

The situation existing between Auckland province and Waikato and Bay of Plenty was referred to by Mr. F. N. Smith, provincial president, Federated Farmers, at Morrinsville sub-provincial conference. Mr. Smith trusted that at next Dominion conference the question of provinces would be settled once and for all, and that after the middle of August branches could expect to receive necessary information enabling them to raise more finance.

On Monday of last week a motorcar, owned by Mr- C. A. Syme, of the Putaruru-Tirau Road, was allegedly unlawfully removed and was found abandoned about 12 chains down the road from Mr. Syme's house. An attempt had been made to interfere Isvith the wires to the switchboard so ms to be able to start the car without m key. Apart from this, no damage ftvas done to the car. Also on the same ■late it was discovered that a half-morse-power electric motor pump had meen taken from the water pump mouse on the property of Mr. Mark Harrison, Tirau Road.
