PUTARURU CLUB In the match played at Putaruru at the week-end, Putaruru were successful in regaining the Ewart Shield from the Taupo club by 14 matches to nine, four being all square. LADIES’ CLUB 'Last week-end’s match for the May medal played in conjunction with the qualifying round' of the club’s trophy was won by Mrs Bramble, 72, 93—fill. Following is the draw for the first round of the club’s trophy: Mrs Bayly v. Mrs Guillard, Mrs MacDiarmid v. Miss Delargey, Mrs Howland v. Mrs Simpson, Mrs Drummond v. Mrs Root, Mrs Bramble, Mrs Halkett, Mrs Martin and Mrs Freeman byes. Those who did not qualify and those with byes please choose own partner.
