WAIKATO PROGRESS Easily Leads Taranaki That about three former servicemen had been settled on the land in the Waikato to every one so settled in Taranaki was information given to members of the Matamata R.S.A. by Mr. Brian Malone, of Te A-wa-mutu, who is New Zealand R.S.A. district vice-president for the Waikato, Kinig Country and Bay of Plenty, area., Mr. Malone had been paying a tribute to the Matamata branch for the high reputation it had gained over a period of years for the work it had done, and in doing so stressed that reputation had -been gained ina progressive area, as between 600700 ex-servicemen; had- been settled on the land in Waikato as against 198 in Taranaki. It would thus be seen- that locally the Rehabilitation Act was being made to work as well as possible. In that work the Matamata branch had also done a great job.
