RABBITSKIN SALE
The Otago Farmers Co-op. Association of N-Z, Ltd., reports that a large catalogue was submitted to a full bench of buyers 'last week. The sale generally opefled quietly, buyers- having already adjusted their prices to meet the levy of 20 percent which came into force this sale. Apart from th e adjustment in prices to meet the levy it was soon evident that the values were on a lower 'level as compared with last sale, this being more pronounced on autumn and early caught skins. In the winter grades, bucks were easier, while the demand for does was good and prices were a shale firmer. The market can be quoted as follows: The decline being summers land low grade, skins from 2d to 9d; autumns from 3d to 16d; incomings and early winters from 2d to lOd; winter bucks from 2d to 4d; and does advanced from 2d to 4d. Th e following is the range of ■prices: Small 311; summers 50 to : 561; light racks 711 to 761; prime racks to 76; dawny autumns 791 to 84; spotty autumns 771 to 85; 2nd 'early autumns 86 t-o 871; Ist early autumns to 90i; 2nd late autumns 90 .to 941; Ist late autumns 129; spotty incomings 841; 2nd early winter bucks to 137; 2nd early winter does to 124; Ist early winter bucks to 144; Ist early winter does to 140; spotty bucks 104 to 135; spotty does 107 to 135: grid winter bucks 117 to 142; 2nd winter does 108 to 144; Ist winter bucks- 127 to 149; Ist winter does 118 to 153; outgoing bucks 981 to 124; outgoing does 93 to 121; Ist spring bucks to 102; Ist spring does to 103; 2nd spring bucks 80 to 901; 2nd spring does 80 to 92; summer black 57; autumn -black 110; incoming black 122; winter black 145; summer fawn 681; autumn fawn 123; winter fawn 148; hareskins 36 to 64; hair, 29.
