STOCK SALES
PUTARURU SALE Newton King, Ltd., held their '.monthly stock sale, at Putaruru on 14th June. The advertised line of sheep on account of Mr E- K. Skelton sold well at late market rates, and there was a total clearance of all stock yarded_ A small yarding of pigs came forwardT'and sold at -advanced rates. The dairy heifers were small and hard to tell at vendors’ reserves. Prices were: ‘Sheep—Wether lambs, 12b 6d to 13s Bd. -Small ewe lambs. 15s 3d. -South-down lambs, 10s to 11s 6d. -050 four and 5-year-old ewes, r-w. Southdown rams, 19s to 21s. 900 five and 6-year ewes, 16s to 16s 3d. 360 sound-mouth . ewes, low in con- ;. dition, 10s 6d. Cattle.— Light fat cows, ex dairy, £5 12s to £6 ss. Boner -cows, £-3 13s to £4 18s. Light boner cows, £-2 9s to £3. -Dairy heifers, late calv-ers, £6 10-s to £7 ss.
