WOMEN’S DIVISION
. PUTARURU BRANCH The Putaruru branch of the Women’s Division held its monthly meeting in the W.D.F.U. rooms on Monday. Mrs- E. Jones presided over a large attendance of numbers. Apologies were received from Mesdames A. Rutledge, Ranger, H. W. Baldwin, E. Nicklin, V- G. Van Veen, W. Campbell and W. E. Kivell-
A very pleasant afternoon was spent, a bring and ibuy stall realising £9 towards a London Children’s Hospital Fund. Arrangements were discussed for a garden party to be held shortly at Mrs. J. C. Tomalin’s residence.
In, the flower competition the results were: —Senior: Mrs. P. F. Karl 1, Mrs. J. C. Tomalin 2- Novice: Mrs. E. Jones 1, Mrs. L. Small 2. The half-yearly points prizes for flowers were won as follows: —Senior: Mesdames H. Baldwin and L. Small, 1; P. F. Karl 2. Novice: Mesdames H. Baldwin and M. Addenbrooke, 1; Mrs. L. Small 2.
Mrs. G- F. Bayly won a competition for a sponge cake. Mrs. D. C. Freeman also won a competition.
