Callaghan. WEEK-END RESULTS An open handicap medal round played by members of the Putaruru 1 Golf Club duiing the week-end was won by S. Tetzner with the good score of 86—17, 69. Other good cards were : J. Fuller, 107—36, 71 ; G. A. Pearce, 92—20, 72; L. Root, 88—15, 73; Beale, 92—18, 74; Halkett, 93—16, 77; Moran, 85—8, 77 j « E. B. Smith, 86—8, 78; R. Rolfe, j 88—9, 79; V C. Bailey, 96—17, 79; • K. Bicknell, 104—24, 80. The mixed foursomes played in 1 the afternoon were won by R. G. Hutton and Mrs. R. T. Smith with a nett score of 76. Other pairs returning good scores were : S. Tetzner and Miss M. Cleary, 76; G. A. Pearce and Mrs. F. C. Barnett, 78; A. E Pearce and Mrs. R. W. Cook, 83 L; Halkett and Mrs. G. A. Pearce, 88.
