Okoroire.

District Dance.

A most successful dance was held in the local hall on Tuesday when visitors were present from many outside districts and a very enjoyable evening was spent by all. The hall was tastefully decorated with streamers and greenery and Mr. Percy Castleton made an efficient M.C. During the evening Miss Madge Horn, of Auckland, gave two elocutionary items which were greatly appreciated. Amongst those present were: Mesdames Gubb, beige lace; Carruth, floral georgette; Abernethy (Matamata), Castleton, Murphy (Putaruru). Misses Rita Booth (Auckland), parchment taffeta; I. Shaw, black satin; Mavis Gilbert, red - striped jumper and white shirt; Doreen Stanley, figured pinafore frock; Madge Horn (Auckland), ivory crepe de chine and green trimming; Del Fraser, apricot rayon with coatee; Hilary Booth (Auckland), blue taffeta; A. Goodall, flame satin ; B. Carlson, floral ninon ; I. Goodwin, white tennis frock; Jean Carruth, lemon crepe de chine; Helen Somerville (Auckland), blue and white georgette; Madge Ca * white pique tennis frock; V. Gubb, ivory crepe de chine; Elsa Brown, white tennis frock; Margaret Mouldey, green and white gingham ; E. Barriball, pink organdie; Doris McLean, pink satin; H. Hardwick, floral georgette; Mavis Cotton, black satin and georgette; B. Cochrane, black crepe de chine net; H. Duxfield (Matamata), N. Henderson, M. de Silva, . V. Clark, K. Milne (Putaruru), M.
