IN PUTARURU COURT. The officer in charge of the Putaruru police station supplies the following figures in connection with the business which passed through the Putaruru Court last year:— MARCH QUARTER. European plaintiffs v. Maori defendants, total 6, amount, claimed £6B 5s lOd, recovered £6S 5s lOd. Europeans only, total 71, amount claimed £867 19s 2d, recovered £675 19s lOd. JUNE QUARTER. Maori defendants, total 6, amount claimed £2S 14s 6d, recovered £2O 4s lOd. Europeans, total 25, amount claimed £705 Is 6d, recovered £558 3s lOd. SEPTEMBER QUARTER. Maori defendants, total 8, amount £Bl 18s 7d, recovered £72 19s sd. Europeans, total 70, amount claimed £IO6O 9s 3d, recovered £784 0s Id. DECEMBER QUARTER. Maori defendants, total 3, amount claimed £25 17s Id, recovered £25 17s Id. Europeans, total 37, amount claimed £649 18s 9d, recovered £439 0s 2d. SUMMARY FOR YEAR.
