Terrible Suicide.

LEAP OF 200 FEET. Napier, Nov. 28. George Edward llallam, formerly lamplighter for tlie gas company, and respectably connected, was recently committed for trail for indecent assault on a little girl and admitted to hail. He was of weak intellect apparently, and committed suicide this morning by throwing himself over a cliff near the breakwater, a fall of 200 feet. He was seen to fall, was picked up, conveyed to the Hospital, and died shortly after admission. He was 28 years of age.
