Land Board.

The fortnightly meeting of tho Land Board was hold at Wellington on Thursday. Present—Messrs J. \V. A. M a reliant (in the chain. (L Beet ha in. M.11.1L, W. W. MeCardle, W. A. Fitzherbert, A. Reese, and 1). H. Macarthur, M.ILK. The schedule of lands showed that 1158 acres 3 roods had been disposed of since last meeting at an upset price of X 1077 17s txl.

An application by Mr L. Bourke to capitalize the unpaid instalments on sections2l and22Block IL, Mangaone, was approved. Mr E. T. Greville applied to have his deferred payment section 60, Block L, Makuri. converted into a perpetual leasehold. Approved. Mr R. R. Meredith wrote stating hr would be glad to purchase section 142, Block XI, Rewa, at 5s per acre, under the Land Act Amendment Act, 1888. After some consideration it was decided to let the matter stand over until next meeting. Mr A. C. Ashcroft forwarded schedule of sections. Block IX, Ongo, and the values placed on them by him, us Approver. It was decided to offer the same to the adjacent owners without competition at the prices fixed. If not accepted by them it was decided to throw the land open under the Land Act Amendment Act IKM7.
