PATRIOTIC CONCERT.
It was a large and enthusiastic audience that greeted the Blenheim Concert Party in the Town Hall on Thursday evening last, and the audience showed its appreciation of every item on tho programme by frequent recalls and loud applause. Members of the party were: Mrs Ferry, Misses Healey, Connolly, and Langley, and Messrs Simpson, Collier, Brewer, and March, all of whom well upheld the reputation they have gained in Blenheim musical circles. Miss Langley made a faultless accompanist. Before the concluding item Mr C. Acourt Opie, on behalf of the local Patriotic Society and the audience, thanked the company for tho musical treat they had given them, and he felt sure the audience had enjoyed every item. The audience endorsed Mr Opie's remarks by hearty acclamation. Mr L. E. Collier, in responding, said it was a pleasure to himself and the rest of tho company to assist in any way to add to the patriotic funds. Ho thanked those present for the way they had been received.
After the concert the hall was cleared for dancing. The proceeds from concert and dance amounted to over £lO.
