FATAL ACCIDENT.

An accident occurred in Blenheim on Tuesday morning, resulting in the death of Mr Thomas J. May, an old resident of Blenheim. Deceased was driving a horse and, light spring dray, when the sw'mgle-treo became detached, causing the animal to bolt. Deceased fell on to the horses heels from the front _ of the dray. He was picked up unconscious and died about two hours later.

The late Mr May was 67 years of age, and was a well-known builder, of Blenheim. He leaves a wife, son, and married daughter. At the enquiry held on Tuesday the Coroner returned a verdict that the deceased met his death by a fall from a trap, the medical evidence showing that the skull was fractured and compression of the brain resulted.
