THE WOMAN SUFFERS, Wellington, February g> A single woman named Matilda Morris has been arrested at Otaki on a charge of murdering her infant. She left the housi; in which she was slaying at Otabi on :tist January, taking her month-old baby with her. She returned the same night without the infant, and in reply to a question explained that the baby had been left with people who would adopt it. The matter -was reported to the Police, and yesterday Detective Cassells discovered the dead 1 >ody of the infant buried in the bush, The mother was then arrested. An inquest will be held this afternoon,
