An Independent Clergyman.
A STRAIT-LACED COMMITTEE. Auckland, February g. The Rev. ], L, Pattullo has resigned his position as minister of the Waihi Presbyterian Church. Mr Pattullo states that he has done so because the Committee passed a resolution against his action in being a member of the Waihi Golf Club, for dealing in mining scrip, and for being a member of the Waihi Hospital Trust. There will probably be a meeting of the congregation shortly to consider the matter. Mr Pattullo is one of the most popular ministers in the Waihi district.
