TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —In corroboration of my last letter, I hear on most reliable authority that Mr Harkness wrote to an influential elector in the Pelorus, asking him if he had any show if he stood for Waimea-Picton. Reply—“ None, if you stand in, interest of Atkinson party.” This may partly account for Mr Hursthouse’s trimming. I am, &o„ Anti-Trimmer.
