R.M.'s COURT— GISBORNE.
Thursday, April 9, 1874. [Before W. K. Nesbitt, Esquire, R. M.] George Costen was fined 10s., or 48 hours’ imprisonment, for being drunk. The same prisoner was also charged with using obscene language, and fined £2, with an alternative of one month’s imprisonment. HORSFALL V. T. UREN. i. *. Debt, £5 12s Gd. Judgment for plaintiff, with costs, wi pere v. read. Claim, £5O, for damages occasioned by cutting and removing certain timber and trees from the Makauri Block. The Court decided that, as the hearing of this case involved a question of title, it had no jurisdiction, and dismissed the case.
