N.Z. TOURNAMENT DATES
The New Zealand women's hockey tournament will be held in Blenheim this year from August 26 to Septem. ■ber 2, and the Poverty Bay Hockey Association is considering sending a team to compete. It is three years since Poverty Bay was represented in a tournament helo outside of Gisborne. The last occasion was in 1936, when the tournament Was also held in Blenheim and when the Poverty Bay team was fairly ■well up in its section, News comes from Christchurch that Miss M. Rhind, New Zealand representative goalkeeper, who is to be married soon, has played her last game After her marriage she is to make her home in Wellington. She first iMayed for her province at the 1936 New Zealand tournament in. Blenheim, where she gave an outstanding display, which she repeated at Invercargill and. Gisborne in following years. Last year she played in all three tests against the English women’s touring team.
