Mr. E. Walpole, engineer to the Post and Telegraph Department, was at this week's meeting of the Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board the recipient of congratulations on his promotion to the position of inspecting engineer at Wellington, Mr. W. Harvey, the chairman, moving that the board place on record its appreciation of the fine service and assistance Mr Wa'lpolc had rendered toe board.
