It is expected'that the full subscriptions will not fall far short of last year's record yield of £2223, although h is considered that had rain not interfered, the response might have been, in excess of last year's total. Under .the circumstances the Auckland Returned Soldier's* Association is more •Shan satisfied with *he result. RESPONSE IN DUNEDIN INCREASE ON LAST YEAR (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. The Poppy Day collection in the city •and suburbs yesterday totalled £1443 16s 2d. The country returns have still to come in. The total represents an increase of £2l 9s 8d on last year's collection.
