April 20, 2.50 p.m.) LONDON, April 19. if is understood that the British Cabinet has approved of the establishment of authority to control the supply of munitions and material for the War Office.
The Prime Minister, Air. Neville Chamberlain, is expected to make a statement, possibly to-morrow. The Government has requested local authorities throughout the country to give priority to civil defence measures for the next three months.
The Food Defence Department is increasing the flour reserves by arranging for additional storages by all bakers.
