HUNT SEASON OPENS

MEETING AT AWAPUNI SCENT CONDITIONS POOR FOLLOWERS IN NUMBERS Conditions were dry, hard, and uncomfortable for the followers of hounds who met on Saturday at Awapuni to open the 1939 hunting season. There was a large attendance of hunting enthusiasts, however, and though scenting conditions were almost impossible, one kill was made in the course of .the afternoon.
