At the Sydney wool sales which were resumed to-day 10,014 bales were offered and 8310 were sold at auction. In addition 1748 bales were sold privately.
Compared with the closing sales prior to the Easter recess, best wools ruled tit a bout par, while average to inferior sorts were 5 per cent lower. Carbonising wools were unchanged. Good competition ruled, mainly from Yorkshire, the Continent and JapanGreasy Merino made tip to 16;|d
