BRITISH BACON IMPORTS

HOME MARKET SHORT ORDERS INCREASED (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, March 25. The Board of Trade is arranging the importation during April, May and June of an additional quantity of bacon, amounting' to 208,650 cwt., from certain supplying countries. This is mainly to replace the temporary deficiencies in supplies from home and other sources,; but also includes an addition of 39,650 cwt., the total allocation at present in force.
