MARKET REMAINS FIRM (Reed. Mar. 23, 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, Mar. 22. At the Sydney wool sales to-day the market rema.ned firm with a keen demand for stylish wools of superfine quality and good length staple. Yorkshire and the Continent were the chief operators. Greasy Merino fleece made 26Jd. The offering consisted of 10,342 bales and 9430 were sold at auction. In addition 868 were sold privately.
