LAMB CHALLENGE SHIELD

AWARDS 'IN LONDON SOUTH ISLAND ENTRIES (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. March 23, 9 a.m.) LONDON, March 21. The New Zealand South Island district lamb competition for the challenge shield resulted: —Southland, 1; East Southland, 2; Central Otago, 3. In the competition by individual pens the results were: —Mid-Canter-bury, pen 46, 1; Southland, pen 87, 2; South Otago, pen 17, 3. The judges were highly pleased with the quality of the lambs and congratulated the New Zealand High Commissioner, Mr. W. J. Jordan, on the fine display.
