REPRESENTATIVE CRICKET
MATCHES THIS WEEK POVERTY BAY TEAMS Representative teams to take part in cricket matches for the Kirk Cup with Hawke's Bay elevens have been selected by the Poverty Bay selectors a.s follows: — Senior A D. A. Wells, T. White, G. E. Slade, R. Thomson, J. Barbour, G.H.5.0j8., E F James, M. A. O'Brien, Marist; J. K. Somervell, P. H. Dow, G. H. Stewart, City; F. Newton, Old Boys. W. Purcell, Marist. is twelfth man. D. A. Wells has been appointed captain. Senior B Team W. J. Wilkie, J. Barbour, N. G. Balfour, E. Gardner, G.H.5.0.8.; W. Toroa, H. Lee, R. Torrie, High School; M. Mc'Mahon, T. Donovan, Marist; W. Hayden, Civil Service; S. Scott, United; R. Birrell, United, twelfth man. Wilkie (will captain the team. Practices for both teams will be held on the Oval to-morrow and Thursday. The hours of play will be 11 a.m. to 12.45 p.m., 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a possible change on the second day should the state of the game make this necessary. The games will be plaved on the Oval on March 25 and 26.*
