MATUA'S FRUIT CARGO
AUCKLAND DISCHARGE EFFECT OF DISPUTE (Per Pi'oss Association.') AUCKLAND, this day. As a result of the uncertainty of the discharge of the southern consignment of island cargo, including fruit, because of the Wellington waterfront dispute, the Union Steam Ship Company's motor ship Matua will not continue' her voyage from Auckland to Wellington. The Matua, which arrived at Auckland from' Island ports on Sunday, was scheduled to leave here " last night for Wellington, but in view of the situation at the southern port this arrangement was cancelled. Her Wellington cargo, which consists of a fairly large quantity of fruit, will be transhipped and the Matua will remain at Auckland until next Tuesday, when she will resume her programme by leaving for the Islands.
