PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE STATEMENT FOR FEBRUARY Estates of a value of £332,840 were reported and accepted for administration by the Public Trustee during February, 1939. The total value of the estates and funds under adminisj tration by the Public Trustee on [March 31. 1938. was £00,815,306, and the new business for the 11 months 'ended February 28,1939, was £5,692,602. Grants of administration made by ithe court in favour of the Public Trustee numbered 168 for the month. LMi'UnVK.M ENT IN VALUES J East Coast breeding ewes were offered at the Morrinsville stock sale on Friday, values improving somewhat ■ on recent rates. | The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, reports that only a small yarding of fat sheep was penned, prices remaining on a par with last week. There was a good yarding of store lambs, with competition slightly better than previous sales, ’prices showing an improvement, i In the breeding ewe section the entry comprised chiefly East Coast 'ewes, and although the condition was ' not as good as usual, owing to the sheep having walked to Taneatua, all prices showed an improvement on last week's sale. ■ A medium entry of both beef and boner cows, wilth' a good yarding ot potter bulls, came forward. The demand was keen for all classes, and prices in all .sections remained firm on late rates.
