The auxiliary scow Vesper arrived at Gisborne last night on her last trip from Auckland in place of the scow Altair. With the installation of a new engine at Auckland the Altair has been given more power and the craft is expected to resume in the Auckland-Gisbornc trade this week. After discharging her cargo of benzine the Vesper sailed this afternoon with empty drums for Auckland. , The Pukeko commenced the discharge of her Wellington cargo at . Gisborne this morning and is to be dispatched to-night for Napier, Lyttelton and Wellington. The Wainui arrives at Gisborne early this afternoon from South Island ports and Wellington. On completion of discharge and loading she will sail for Napier, thence Wellington and (Bluff. The Totara,, which was en route from Greymouth*to Wellington, has been diverted to Gisborne and is due here to-morrow morning to discharge a cargo of coal for the Railway Department. The Kopara is due at Gisborne tomorrow morning from Auckland, via Coast bays, and is to sail the same day for Napier, returning thence to northern ports. j The Margaret W. arrives here to- ’ morrow morning from Auckland and on completion of discharge and loading sails for Tolaga Bay and Tokomaru Bay. HOMEWARD LOADINGS Gisborne Roadstead Imperial Star (Blue Star Line), loads at Gisborne April 16-18 and clears Lyttelton finally on April 29 for London.
