V'INXU.'S 01’ TROPHIES

The various tennis matches which have been played at Bartiletts recently for trophies presented by Mr. Louis Cooper reached the finals last weekend.
The Combined Handicap Doubles for the Leatheries Cup and miniatures drew 18 entrants. The final resulted in Mrs. P. Smith and K. Muir defeating Mrs. L. China? and E. Borst, C —B, B—3.
The Women’s Handicap Singles drew 20 entrants, the final resulting in Mrs. P. Smith defeating Miss L. Whiteford, o—o. B—3.
The Men’s' Handicap Singles drew 18 entrants, the final resulting in L. Cliing defeating B. Ryan, 6—4, 4—6,
Next week-end' the A team from Bartlctts is to visit Kopuawhara to play a scries of matches, there, while the B team will visit Gisborne to- play a combined team, from the ChrispMcKenzie club.
