BUSY DAYS AT RONGOTAI Holiday air traffic at the Rongotai aerodrome, Wellington, reached its peak on Saturday, when the facilities at the landing-ground were fully taxed to meet the greatly increased demands occasioned by the Christmas rush. Altogether 317 passengers arrived at or departed from Rongotai that day and a new record was established for the number of commercial aircraft using a New Zealand aerodrome i« one day. December 23, 24 and 25 were exceptionally busy days. The total number of passengers arriving at or leaving Rongotai during the period was 599. as against 499 for the corresponding period of the previous season. On December 23 there were 105 inward passengers to Rongotai and 91 outward, but on the following day the outward total increased to 190 and the inward total to 127. On Christmas Day 48 passengers arrived and 86 departed.
