STOCK FIRMS MEET DA LG FT YS BEAT W. AND K. (Special to tho Herald.) WAIROA, this day. In a challenge match between- the two stock firms. Dalgety and Company were successful in defeating Williams and Kettle at Frasertown. In their first innings Williams and Kettle compiled G2 runs, Dalgetys replying with 122 runs. In their second appearance at the crease Williams and Keltic carried their total to 137, Martin being not out with 86 runs. Dalgetys, in their second strike, declared with 134 runs on the board for the loss of four wickets, Cook being the principal scorer with 74 runs not out. Scores: — WILLIAMS AND KETTLE First Innings.
