Esteem stays on well. Doing Nicely Dainty Sue is making good progress, and whereevr she races at the New Year she will be the medium of heavy support. She is likely to win a race at Stratford. New Brigade Girl Pat and Diamond Cutter seem to be doing nicely, and both are likely to race prominently in ihc course of the next few days. Diamond Cutter will pribably do his New Year racing at Tauherenikau. Government Taxation The Government taxation from the Waipa Racing Club's meeting at Te Rapa totalled £3547 17s lid, made up as follows:—Totalisator tax. £1047 17s 3d; dividend tax, £IBO2 5s 8d; stakes tax. £l7 10s; amusement tax, £BO ss. Fryer’s stable, where Dr. Blundells mare, Namakia, has been for the past year. Namakia, a good performer in the Auckland province, was a winner at Melbourne the other week. It is orobable that Fryer's youngster, by Foxbridge from Green Linnet, will be a mate for Ngarehu on the journey to Australia.
