BATTLESHIP RENAMED

H.M.S. DUKE OF YORK ("British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, Dec. 22. It has been decided that the battleship being constructed under the 1937 programme at Clydebank will be named Duke of York, instead of Anson. The new name is thought to be more appropriate for the sister ship of the King George V and Prince of Wales.
