POPULAR STOCK AGENT

MR. PARKER PROMOTED

Mr. A. S. Parker, who has been attached to Messrs. Dalgety and Company's stock department in Gisborne for several years, has received advice of his transfer to the Dannevirke branch on promotion. Mr. Parker's transfer will take effect as from March 31, 1939.

During his long residence in Gisborne, Mr. Parker has been associated closely with the stock business, having been a member of Messrs. Williams and Kettle's staff for many years prior to taking up his present post. A prominent figure in sports administration, Mr. Parker has been president of the Poverty Bay Rugby Union, the Poverty Bay Hockey Association, and the Gisborne Boxing Association. He presided at the last New Zealand Boxing Association's conference, in Gisborne, by virtue of his position in the Dominion organisation controlling boxing activities.
