EIVIIRE AND SOCIAL (Hia-cld .Correspondent.) A successful euchre parly and social ..vcre held at Manulukc last night as -i wincling-up to the weekly tournaments run by the ladies' committee. There were over one hundred ptescnl, eme coming from the Coast and Gisborne. Mr. W. Babbington extended a welcome to the visitors, Mr. C. UylEun suitably replying. .Mr. Harvey Hamilton was successful n an estimating competition and received a Christmas hamper. Tno«o successful in the games were:—Ladies Section,--Miss L. Onekawa. 1: Mrs. K M. Ncpia, 2; 'Mrs. B. Mila J. Me";" Section.—Mr. It. Pohatu. 1; Mr. S. Wa.para, 2: IMr. K. Waana. 3. Among the visitors were Mssdamas R Robinson, W. T. Pitt, E. M. Nep:a (To Haroto), P. Smith, M. and K. Whaitiri, and P. Brown; Misses <■- Kohere, M. Porter. P. Pitt. u Rigby (Wairoa).
Miss D M Taylor, accompanied by Miss' Boa Pere. leave by plane on Monday to attend the Gab, L. Brigade camp at Wellington Mu. - loplev is visiting friends m the bourn Island. While in Chnslchrurch snwill be the guest ol Miss M. . Misses Tui Swann and Bela Hal ve, i are' leaving for Rotorua tomorrow morning to be the guests of Mi. and Mrs. Parti Tekam.
